Street Theatre Cabaret

Squashbox Theatre can bring its unique mix of comedy, puppets and music to cabaret performances, emceeing and street theatre.

I have worked for several years as a professional street entertainer, including solo walkabout shows with large puppets, and comedy music bands The Sneakers and Squeal Like A Pig. Performances include: The Millennium Dome, Glastonbury Festival, Manchester Street Arts Festival, Leeds Streets Ahead, Shetland Folk Festival, Cowes Week Isle of Wight, and festivals in Holland, Belgium and USA.

I am also an accomplished musician and singer, and have performed both in bands and as a solo artist. I have a special interest in British, European and American folk music and I play the melodeon (button accordian), banjo and harmonica.

Puppet emceeing - various puppet characters will host your evening’s entertainment, including Captain Pemburthy the salty sea-dog, Frankenstein’s Person - the thinking man’s re-animated corpse and Donnie O’Doonican the ageing crooner.

Eli Pepper’s Back Porch Hoe-down -
Eli pepper lives in a small cabin out in the woods where his only luxury is an extra candle on Sundays. He is an expert alligator whisperer, and brews his own moonshine out of cactus juice, tree bark and car tyres.
Cajun and country songs with a comedy slant - ‘Chicken In A Twister’, ‘I Fell In Love With An Alligator’ - a mind-reading pig, miraculous Elvis vegetables, and even an appearance from Grandpa Pepper, 102 years old and still dancing!

Eli is available as an emcee or cabaret act.
